2nd International Multidisciplinary Conference on Pediatric Procedural Sedation
May 30 - June 1, 2006

This unique conference will explore the current state-of-the-art and science of Pediatric Procedural Sedation. Together, colleagues from multiple specialties including Anesthesiology, Emergency Medicine, Critical Care Medicine, Child Life, Pediatrics, Hospital Medicine, Nursing, Radiology, Pharmacology, Dentistry and Medical Administration will discuss the most timely and controversial issues in the field of Pediatric Procedural Sedation.

This collaborative environment will be informative and stimulating. Ample time will be allotted for small group discussions, networking and case studies.

Physician, Nursing, Pharmacy and Dentistry CME's/CEU's will be offered.

Procedural Sedation Techniques for the Radiology Suite
(NOTE: additional $100 Registration fee)

photoThese two-hour workshops are designed to familiarize the attendee with the special skill-set necessary for effective and safe procedural sedation in Nuclear Medicine, MRI and Interventional Radiology. Particular focus will be on techniques for utilization of Propofol via MRI compatible infusion pumps. These workshops will be held in the Radiology Suite at Columbus Children's Hospital to allow participants exposure to some of the real-life logistical challenges encountered in these unique environments by sedation providers on a daily basis.

Please include time request with registration materials and efforts will be made to accommodate requests on a first come basis. Early registration for this small group workshop is encouraged as we are only able to accommodate the first 40 registrants.

Refunds minus 30% for administrative costs unless specified differently in the conference description will be given for cancellations received in writing a minimum of seven (7) days before the conference unless otherwise specified in the conference listing. Children's Hospital reserves the right to cancel any program listed based upon enrollment or other contributing factors. Pediatric Sedation Research Consortium - The Pediatric Sedation Research Consortium (PSRC) is an organization of hospitals and universities dedicated to enhancing the practice of Pediatric Procedural Sedation leading to improved sedation outcomes for all children. The goal of the PSRC is to evaluate systems of care and then emulate the safest and most effective sedation techniques in an effort to safely and efficiently improve upon the level of care delivered. Members of this organization have equal weight. We are dedicated to the concept that pediatric sedation is delivered by a wide range of specialists and that each practitioner will lend their unique expertise to the practice of sedation delivery. The group is intended to be cooperative in nature and foster interest and understanding in the methods that are used by individuals with different training and points of view.
